Support PEAC Institute Fellows as They Return to the United Nations in Less Than Three Weeks

In less than three weeks, a remarkable group of PEAC Institute Fellows will return to the United Nations for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference, and they are working to make this trip happen largely through their own initiative, commitment, and sacrifice.

That alone is extraordinary.

At a time when the world feels dangerously close to wider war, and the threat of nuclear weapons grows more real by the day, these young people are not turning away. They are stepping forward. They are choosing to give their time, energy, and resources to be part of one of the most important global conversations of our time.

They are organizing this trip themselves because they care deeply about what is at stake.

Too often, young people from Black and Brown communities are left out of conversations about diplomacy, disarmament, and global peace and security. Too often, people assume these communities do not care about nuclear weapons or international policy. Nothing could be further from the truth.

These Fellows are proof.

They care enough to study the issue. They care enough to organize others. They care enough to volunteer their own time and contribute their own money to show up in the rooms where these decisions are being made.

Many of the photos on this page capture their first trip to the United Nations. You can see the pride, the joy, and the power of that moment. For many of them, it was their first time in those spaces, and they did not just attend, they stood out. They were the strongest delegation PEAC has brought to the UN in the last decade. Now they are taking it upon themselves to return, this time with even deeper commitment and leadership.

They also carry forward a powerful legacy. Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities have long understood that the struggle for peace is connected to the struggle for dignity, justice, and survival. These Fellows are walking in that tradition while building something new for their generation.

Your donation will help support immediate trip costs, including travel, local transportation, lodging, meals, and essential delegation materials.

Because the trip is so close, support is needed now.

Please give today to help these young leaders get back to the United Nations.

Help them show up.
Help them speak out.
Help them represent communities too often excluded from these conversations.
Help them carry this work forward at a moment when the world urgently needs courageous, grounded, justice-centered leadership.
