The hibakusha (A-bomb survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki) have issued a unified appeal that says, in part:

“It is our strong desire to achieve a nuclear-free world in our lifetime so succeeding generations will never see the hell on Earth we saw.”

Driven by the hope that people around the world will support this appeal, the hibakusha launched a petition drive in 2016 that is now known as the Hibakusha Appeal.

By 2020, they intend to collect several hundred million signatures from around the world, we intend to help them, and we hope you do, too.
